Question by Jenny Jones
Can you tell me the actual carbon dioxide emissions reductions achieved by your climate change programmes in 2011/12 and the forecast reductions for 2012/13 and 2013/14, broken down by programme?
Answer by Boris Johnson
The actual carbon dioxide emissions reductions achieved by our climate change programmes in 2011/12 are in the process of being evaluated and will be published in the Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Strategy Annual Report by Spring 2013.
The forecast reductions for 2012/13 are as follows:
RE:NEW: 30,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide
RE:FIT Programme: 14,400 tonnes of carbon dioxide
Better Buildings Partnership Programme: 15,293 tonnes of carbon dioxide
Decentralised Energy Programme: 4,784 tonnes of carbon dioxide
The forecast reductions for 2013/14 will be estimated once the budget for each programme has been confirmed.
