Mayor answers to London
Green Deal lobbying (3)
Question by Darren Johnson
In answer to my previous question number 1242/2011 you expressed your support for the Warm Homes Amendment, which included a call for the Government to develop a strategy for the Green Deal that would meet your targets on fuel poverty and carbon dioxide emissions. As they have so far refused to do this, will you personally lobby the Government on this matter?
Answer by Boris Johnson (1st Term)
The GLA is signed up to support the Warm Homes Amendment. My officers are actively working with Government on the development of the Green Deal to encourage them to ensure that the Green Deal supports the achievements of Londons targets to reduce CO2 emissions.
