Mayor answers to London

Withdrawal of the N213 bus service

Question number2390/2009
Meeting date09/09/2009

Question by Caroline Pidgeon

What progress has TfL made, since meeting stakeholders, with assessing alternative provision of a bus service (perhaps involving the 154 or X26) in the early hours between Croydon, Carshalton and Sutton?

Answer by Boris Johnson (1st Term)

TfL wrote to you on 28 August following your meeting with them. They examined options for a replacement night service on the previous N213 section between Sutton and Croydon but provision of alternative services could not be justified. However route 154 will continue to run from early morning until late night along these roads, from approximately 0424 in the morning, with a last departure from West Croydon bus station at 0030.
