Question by Jenny Jones
Given that London has reduced the number of people killed and seriously injured on our roads by around 4% a year over the last decade, do you feel that your target of a further 13% reduction by 2017/18 is ambitious? Will you commit to keeping up the existing pace of reductions in the number of people killed and seriously injured on Londons roads and draw up a new road safety action plan?
Answer by Boris Johnson (1st Term)
As part of the development of a new London Road Safety Plan, TfL is currently reviewing an appropriately challenging target for further casualty reductions in London over the next ten years.
