In order to make the successful London Freewheel 'bigger and better', will you explore the idea of adding a challenge ride element, covering the Olympic road cycling course, to next years event?

Officers in my Events for London team are currently undertaking post event reviews for the 2008 Freewheel.
Once this process is complete, we will begin to look at options for the 2009 event,. This will include a full review of the current central route and opportunities for routes that could include part of the 2012 road cycling course or the 2009 Tour of Britain route.
We will also consider opportunities to work with outer London Boroughs to host their own Freewheel events, where the biggest opportunities lie for a modal shift to cycling.
