Mayor answers to LondonBarking to Gospel Oak Line[Main question]
Question by Richard TraceyWhat is the logic in introducing new 2-coach trains on the Barking to Gospel Oak Line rather than 3-coach trains? Answer by Boris JohnsonTfL are unable to lengthen trains in the immediate term because some of the station platforms are too short. However works are planned to remedy this so that three car trains can operate on this line from 2010 instead of the 2 cars at present. TfL are also in discussion with Network Rail to increase the frequency of services in the peak. |
